Rotarian Spotlight: Jeff Waters

Each month we will feature one of the many Glen Ellyn Rotary members that make such a difference in our communities. These are people that fill many roles in their day to day lives and apply Rotary values in everything they do. This month’s member is Jeff Waters. Jeff is among our numerous ‘best kept secret’ type of members. He does an amazing amount of charity work not just in our club, but in our community. He gives his time selflessly and quietly. Jeff is one of the kindest people you could be fortunate to meet in this world.

 

I became a Rotarian in 2009.

 

I joined Rotary after meeting several Rotarians from other clubs over the years including the Wheaton and Elmhurst clubs. I did not know much about Rotary, however, I admired the men and women who I knew in the community and at church who were Rotarians.

 

One of my favorite Rotary memories includes working outside the Glen Ellyn Public Library landscaping the area along the Prairie Path.

 

My hobbies include hiking, biking, bank reconciliations, skiing and coaching soccer.

 

I'll have to get back to you on this one - I don't think this one applies to accountants!
