We are making a plan.
It is for the good of the world. Rotary has a lofty goal, it is to eradicate Polio. If we accomplish this effort it will be only the second disease ever eradicated and we are with in One inch of completion.
So our Rotary District 6440 and our local Rotary club plan on putting a face to the effort.
On October 24th, 2026 we will walk!
We plan on letting our community know that this disease is still a world wide scourge,
but it is almost extinct, as it has been in the USA since the nineteen eighties.
We are going to ask all of the community to walk with us.
The plans are in the works. Wait for the details , probably in September 2026.
This week Lyle Staab, Past District Governor, spoke to us about the plan.
It is going to be a walk in dozens of communities from Canada to Texas.
The point is to raise awareness of the threat to all the world, until we finish the job.
