A signature event every year of District 6440 is when the District Governor visits our club.
This week District Governor Suzanne Gibson and Her husband Mark were our guests and presenters.

Today our District Governor Suzanne Gibson spoke to us. Suzanne and her husband Mark are members of the Barrington Breakfast Club. They have been Rotarians for 11 years. They share a passion for international service and have been to Guatemala over a dozen times. They have done “Friendship Exchanges” with people from South Africa and Taiwan.
Suzanne's top priority is to increase connections within and between clubs. She believes that connections allow collaboration to happen.
This years Rotary theme is “Rotary Connects The World”. Rotary is built on connections. Rotary International provides a way to connect to our communities, to network professionally, and to build strong and lasting relationships. Our membership connects us to a global community through our countless projects and programs. Our service connects us to people who share our values, who want to take action for a better world; it connects us to people we would never otherwise meet, who are more like us than we could have imagined; and it connects us to people who need our help, allowing us to change lives in communities around the world.
This is Rotary’s plan for the next five years: to increase our impact, expand our reach, enhance participant engagement, and increase our ability to adapt.
PRIORITY 1—Increase Our Impact. People of Action are effective problem-solvers. Let’s seek out new ways to trans-late our expertise into making a difference—in our communities and across the globe. Let’s prove that our impact on the world has only just begun.
PRIORITY 2 -Expand Our Reach. People of Action activate and inspire one another. Let’s build connections and opportunities that will allow people who share our drive to do the same.
PRIORITY 3—Enhance Participant Engagement. People of Action strive to understand the needs of others. Let’s recommit to putting the needs, expectations, and growth of our participants at the center of all we do.
PRIORITY 4 -Increase Our Ability to Adapt. People of Action are inventive, entrepreneurial, and resilient. Let’s stay true to ourselves and stay ahead of change in our next 115 years.
