Rotary Member Spotlight is here!

Each month we will feature one of the many Glen Ellyn Rotary members that make such a difference in our communities. These are people that fill many roles in their day to day lives and apply Rotary values in everything they do. This month’s member is Sue Martin, although she probably needs no introduction. Her family has a long history in our town and she runs TMC2 computer consulting services in town. Everyone should be so lucky as to know Sue. She has great character and wonderful outlook on life!

When did you become a Rotarian?
Sue: June 2013

Why did you join Rotary?
Sue: I was asked to do program on technology safety. I really liked the energy and fun they had at the meeting. About a year later my friend, Don Fischer asked me to come to a meeting and consider membership. I learned about the work the club did on behalf of our community. The club supports a number of organizations that we work with. This was important to me.  I liked that there are a number of civic leaders in the club who keep us informed about important things happening in our town.

What is your best Rotary memory?
In June of 2015 I was named Rotarian of the year along with Meryl Rajeck.  This was a complete surprise.

What are some of your hobbies/interests outside of Rotary?
I’m a runner.  I’m an animal lover and I love being outside with my dog.

What is one fun fact about you that no one might know?
Sue: A LONG  time ago, before my husband and I started dating, I was the manager of his band and provided them practice space and got them gigs. That was back when I was cool.
