Ms. Broello is now our president of the Rotary Club of Glen Ellyn deposing Past President Phil Norton. Phil's year was a fast, fun and wise acre year! His wit will never be seen at the podium again. Thank God! The Installation was performed by Past District 6440 Governor Les Sommers. Phil's local rival Stu Stone, the long time retired veteran Glen Ellyn Fire Chief, awarded Phil, who himself is the Police Chief in Glen Ellyn, an honorary Fire Man's badge as a token of his esteem or lack there of!
The much, much more included the induction of a new member Dave Harris by Rotary ADG Roy Fonda. He is our 50 th. member when you count our one honorary member.
Then Interact Adviser to to the Glenbard West Interact Club introduced the President and Vice President Elect of their club and their parents. Paul Keenon the Rotary Club of Glen New Generations Chair and District Rotaract Chair, Installed the Co-Presidents Rachel Aubrey and Elise Kahn and the Co-vice Presidents Hallie Park and Kelsey Lentz with the help of their parents for the pinning.
One other part of the even is the awarding of several Paul Harris Fellow. Penny Belke, club Treasurer, awarded Reinhard Buchmann, Stu Stone, Paul J. Keenon, Russ Stock, and Les Sommers the awards. Several of these men are multiple Paul Harris Fellows. This entails donation of $1,000 for each Fellowship to the Rotary International Foundation.
